
How do you scratch?
If you want to change a behaviour, it pays to first spend time getting quite clear what the behaviour is.
Also, when it happens and what are it’s consequences.
This approach is sometimes called “behavioural analysis” – and the simplest way is to think about it is this ABC
- Antecedents,
- Behaviour, and
- Consequences.
For B, Behaviour, think about all the ways you scratch – include rubbing and picking!
